Warning: Google Announces Algorithm Changes That Could Cripple Your Website

Google recently announced they will be making a substantial change to their algorithms — AGAIN.

Every time this happened in the past, a lot of small businesses got hit hard. It was a mess…

So I wanted to warn you about this. I do this because my mission is to help holistic practitioners be successful in their business.

Here’s the info:

Years ago, if your website didn’t display nicely on mobile devices…

Google didn’t care. (Mobile devices are cell phones and tablets, such as iPads.)

Then, Google’s algorithms began to penalize these sites. Anyone searching from a mobile device would be a bit less likely to see your website.

In the beginning, this didn’t matter much. Mobile devices weren’t mainstream yet.

Now, though… Google has reported 60% of all searches are done from mobile devices.

And, because of that, starting on April 21st, they are going to REQUIRE that your website displays nicely on mobile devices…

Or it may *never* show up if someone searches from a mobile device.

Beginning April 21st, Google’s algorithms will REQUIRE a mobile friendly web design.

Google’s algorithms are the formulas they use for deciding which websites to show to people who are searching for something.

So, you’ll want to double check that your website is ready. If it isn’t, this change will likely mean a sudden drop in the number of visitors to your website…

…and, ultimately, the number of clients you get each month.

If you aren’t sure if your website is “mobile friendly,” Google has created a free testing tool. You can find it at the link below.

https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/

Once the page loads, enter the URL of your website (for example, http://www.yourwebsite.com). Then click the “Analyze” button.

It will tell you if your site is ready with green letters “This page is mobile-friendly”

If the tool says your site failed… you’ll want to update your site fast — before April 21st.

If you aren’t sure how to update your website, let me know. I am offering free 20 minute consultations to help practitioners through this tough time.

You’ll walk away from the call knowing the steps you need to take to make your site “mobile friendly” — so you can avoid suddenly losing A LOT of potential clients.
